I’m as shocked as you are that MSNBC aired this. MSNBC is Democrat Pravda. The entire apparatus is dedicated to propping up the Democrat party.
I believe in their pompous arrogance they decided to air this to shame and lampoon black Georgia voters for daring to have divergent opinions on Trump’s indictment. Black voters are connecting the dots that Biden’s persecution of Trump relates to Biden’s persecution of black men with his drafting of the 1994 crime bill:
“Has this trial changed your opinion?”
“No, actually caused me to support him [Trump] even more.”
“So the question people are beginning to ask themselves is ‘Why now?’”
“I’ve talked to many people who have formerly identified as a Democrat. They have changed their political persuasion to independent and they are looking forward to voting for Trump”
“They have felt persecuted by the system of American injustice. It’s not a stretch for them to think that Trump may be a victim as well.
People see that there’s some kind of commonality between himself and maybe all the black men that have been incarcerated and the families that have been impacted by black male incarceration.”
The theory behind the Trump indictments was that if convicted, Trump would instantly cede a significant chunk of his base, to the point where Biden would prevail in 2024.
What the Democrats did not plan for was Trump galvanizing a larger coalition of voters due to their overt persecution.
Was MSNBC attempting to be fair and balanced or were they yet again out of touch? I think the answer is self-evident: An Accidental Moment of Honesty.
