Dan Abrams had Megyn Kelly on ‘Dan Abrams Live’ on News Nation, and I’m sure it will be the last time she is invited on his program.
The subject at hand was Trump’s verdict, and Abrams was quite combative throughout the entire interview even before where this clip begins. Abrams was prepared with all the talking points and most likely a producer in his ear. They were no match for Megyn Kelly.
Dan Abrams: “There’s wrongdoing here.”
MK: “What was it?”
There will be people in your life who echo these talking points from the media. Megyn Kelly illustrates a simple opening move: “Trump’s a convicted felon!” “What did he do?”
Merely asking “What crime did Trump commit?” is a task too Herculean for most leftists to muster.
DA: “Paying 130k to a porn star to keep her quiet.”
MK: “That’s not illegal.”
Paying someone to keep quiet (Even if the allegations are untrue) is illegal now? Paula Jones was paid 850k in a settlement from the Clinton campaign to keep quiet. Fact check websites will tell you that a settlement is different than a payment. How do they come to that distinction? Because the facts were ‘already known’. But this is precisely the point of the settlement: To stop more facts from coming out. Another example of a partisan fact check making a purely political distinction. The only difference was Clinton was a Democrat.
In Trump’s ‘document case’ lies another Clinton hypocrisy. ‘Clinton’s Sock Tapes’ were taped conversations between Clinton and a historian. Clinton kept these tapes in his sock drawer. There is no limit to which the Democrats will charge Trump with ‘crimes’ they themselves have committed.
DA: “When you’re doing it to protect the campaign, and you are spending money on it, you are now crossing the line into legal problems.”
MK: “Absolutely not correct on every level.” DA: “When you’re doing it to protect your campaign, it is [illegal].
MK: “What law are you citing?”
DA: “Campaign finance laws.”
MK: “Wrong, you don’t know what you’re talking about. It does not amount to a campaign contribution if it is the kind of payment that could ever be made outside of the campaign context. There’s been Supreme Court precedent on this.”
If Trump violated campaign finance laws, why was he not charged with a campaign finance violation?
I’m not a lawyer, neither is Dan Abrams, but Megyn Kelly is, so I will go with Megyn Kelly’s word on this one.
What was the crime Trump committed? Winning in 2016 (and 2020) and polls showing that he will win 2024. Interrupting the transfer of power from one Democrat regime to the next, with the Bush/Establishment wing of the Republican party in on the scheme.
One man interrupted the plans of the most powerful people in the country to continue to consolidate power without accountability. That was his crime.
PS – Dan Abrams responded:
One problem Dan:
James Comey revealed that David Pecker’s testimony was false. So ‘David Pecker made it clear’ in reality is ‘David Pecker’s false testimony swayed the jury’.
